Buying a used Mac

I am considering buying a used Mac. I was wondering if there any way I could find out when this Mac was purchased. I have the serial number but it just says verified date of purchase. Also I have a date for when the Apple care + expires for this Mac but it also says it is still under limited warranty. So I’m wondering if there way anyways I could see the date for when limited warranty expires. Can’t the seller transfer Apple care to me, or does the seller even need too?

Make sure the seller does this before you buy it:
