my iPad won't turn on even after being plugged in for some time - just a black screen

It's out of warranty - I looked that up and for the price, I can get a new one. haha - which I just ordered. This one is over 5 years old so it's time. Thank you for your replies. :) At least I'll have a new one for Christmas.

I've already been there and everything I've tried doesn't work. :(

And every place I look to take isn't taking reservations. sigh...
