Disk utility says that a volume is not mounted? why

well I was looking in the disk utility and saw that there was a light grey area and I clicked on the volume and is says as below. Is this normal? or should I be concerned?

It is supposed to look that way. It is part of the security that prevents anything from modifying the startup volume snapshot.
