Can I delete Catalina and re-install Mohave? MacBook Pro

I have an older MacBook Pro and inadvertently updated to Catalina, not realizing that I would lose my entire Word suite. How can I go back? is that even possible

You will need to restore from a backup made before the upgrade. You will need to erase the drive first, reinstall macOS Catalina, then migrate your user account(s) and apps from a backup.
