transferring photos

I had an iPhone 8

transferred my data to iphone12 pro max

everything transferred

apart from my photos, they are backed up but why are they not on my new phone

Do you use (or did you use on the 8) iCloud to sync your photos?

If so, you need to re-enable iCloud photos on your new phone.
