How can I get app store updates without an internet connection?

I have several friends and customers living in rural areas with lousy DSL connections. Their connections are not only slow but unreliable. One is a well known En plein air painter who creates videos of their work as they create. They are unable to get updates to Final Cut Pro and Compressor, as well as others, because of a lousy internet connection.

After apps became app store only, I can no longer download updates and patches at my office and bring them out. Unless I'm missing something. Apple makes OS updates available separately, but I can't find any way to get a downloadable installer/updater for FCP, Compressor, Logic X.

When it comes to Logic, it's been very common to have issues with internet access. Many find rural areas for music studios, far away from other noise sources. And internet.

If your rural areas with lousy DSL connections... this would be Digital subscriber line technologies that are used to transmit digital data over telephone lines.

An alternative—If your carrier policy supports hotspot, you can use your IPhone celluar connection. This is often time faster than a "lousy DSL connections." Giving you access to the App Store in this way.
