How can turn on the airplay on macOS?

macOS Catalina 10.15.7.

In system preference > displays > display

The dropdown menu for "Airplay Display" only has the off option when I click the dropdown. How do I get the on option?

It will turn on automatically.

To do this, go to Settings > Displays > check the box next to Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available. With that checked, whenever there are AirPlay devices you can connect to, the AirPlay icon will appear in your menu bar. Just click it and select a device to connect to
