Which usb c to usb a cable works with iPad Pro

Rushing home, to plug my iPad Pro 2020 (12.9in) into my Mac, only to find that it comes with usb c to usb c. Oh wait I have an Huawei cable (USB C- USBA), plug it into my iPad, and..... NOTHING...not even a chyme, a screen flash, NOTHING. No man I just spent over $1000 , this must work, the cable must be broken. *plug it into my android phone and my Mac recognises my phone with the same cable.

Can someone please help me I even tried the second edition of Huawei usb c cable (with the purple inside) and still no avail. Does the iPad usb c pins work differently? is there a specific C cable? Its a brand new iPad, straight outta the box, the original cable charges just fine with the original brick, but I can't test data transfer because I lack a usb c port on my Mac device.
