Kids iPads

My kids have their own iPads which use my Apple ID. Overtime they have bought games, downloaded apps etc which I have paid for against the card stored on my Apple ID.

For Christmas their Mum has bought iPads for them to use at her house.

Question: what's the best way of setting those new iPads up and without duplicating payments for Apps they have downloaded on their existing IPADs. Also any changes in the future to one iPad will it duplicate to the other ?

hope that makes sense

The Golden Rule: Don’t share an AppleID between users. Each user should have their own AppleID for their own exclusive use - linked to their own primary email (and secondary/recovery email addresses and trusted telephone numbers). Sharing an AppleID causes multiple practical and data security issues.

Each user (and you children) should have their own AppleID to use exclusively with their own devices.

You can selectively share purchased Apple Services, Subscriptions, Apps and Media using Apple’s Family Sharing features:

Share App Store, iTunes Store and Apple Books purchases with Family Sharing – Apple Support
