I see a big blur instead of the search bar and suggested apps now when I pull the center of the screen

I had exactly the same, so seems like it's a iOS bug.
as workaround pull screen up or lock & unlock device, to make search work again - restart phone. restart makes search available, but after some time this strange blur re-appears
