After a brief power outage at home, the Apple TV icon disappeared on my Samsung TV. Therefore, I can not setup fitness plus and any other set ups. Apple TV icon was in the same menu with prime video, Hulu, NETFLIX, Vudu and Internet icons.
The Apple TV app on your smart TV will not support Apple Fitness+, as that currently requires an Apple TV set-top box.

The Apple TV app on Samsung TVs, for supported models, will either be pre-installed with the up-to-date TV system software, or downloadable from the App Store repository as provided by the TV manufacturer. Consult with Samsung if you had it previously, but not now.
