Slow motion videos glitch when moved from iPhone to Mac

Shot some beautiful slomo videos on my iPhone X. They look and play perfectly on the phone.

Moved them off the phone to both the Photos app and my hard drive via Image Capture and now they wont play right.

The slow motion effect is still there, and I can still adjust it. But when playing in slow motion the video skips, gets blocky, pixelated, glitchy, just bad. I tried editing the slow mo section and its still happening. The areas that are NOT slomo play just fine.

Any idea how to fix this? Did I just loose a great photo by moving it off the iPhone?

If you're still experiencing that issue, we'd recommend trying in safe mode as directed here: Start up your Mac in safe mode

Then, try deleting those from your Mac and transfer them over via these steps: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

That should help clear that up, but feel free to reach back out to the Community if you need more help.

1) Which version of macOS are you running?

2) Have you tried restarting your Mac?

3) Does this happen with all slow motion videos?

I'm running the latest iOS 14.3, MacOS Mojave 10.14.6

Yes, happens with all slow mo videos!

I'd think it was happening because it was difficult for the system to render, but it happens at random places! Like with low motion, mostly flat color videos (easier to render), or on the normal speed part of a slomo but not the slomo part, the glitch is exactly the same each time I play it whether via quick look or opened in Quick time.

SO WIERD.

Meanwhile they all still play just fine on my phone.
