How do I impair my Apple Watch from my old iPhone 8 if the iPhone is broken?

My old iPhone is broken, I can’t use the screen. How do I unpair my Apple Watch from that phone, and connect the watch to my new iPhone?

To remove Activation lock and erase watch;

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.
