Why is my phone sending text messages to another I phone instead of iMessages? Also why is it wen I go to text people w my I phone it’s takes 2-3 seconds if not longer for the message to appear after I e typed it

That occurs if you or that person is in an area with a weak wifi or cellular data signal or imessage has been turned off.
