Same Apple ID on two Devices?

I am trying to have my family sharing on my iPad and iPhone but won’t allow with same iCloud addy.

Family Sharing is designed to be used by family members (2 or more people) who each have their own Apple ID.

One person with multiple devices should normally (almost always) have only one Apple ID and use that ID on all devices. There would be no advantage to using family sharing.
