Importing Photos

When I plug my iphone into my MBP and import the photos to Photos, I click on "delete photos after import". However, it never deletes the photos on the phone. What could I be doing wrong?

Hi there! Here's an article from Apple Support explaining how to import pictures from a camera or phone to your Mac: https://support.apple.com/guide/photos/from-a-camera-or-phone-pht6c803201/mac

Hope it works!

Actually, that's not good practice. We've seen too many occurrences of imports that didn't complete fully but the deletion did. Better practice would be to complete the import, verify it's completeness and then delete the photos on the iPhone. Deletion can be quickly and easily done with Image Capture if you don't want to do it on the iPhone.
