What is HEIC

I'm trying to download photos to eBay and they will not accept it because it is HEIC not jpeg

HEIC is the codec of photos taken in the space saving High Efficiency Format on an iPhone or iPad.

On a Mac you can convert HEIC files in the Photos.app by exporting the files from Photos as JPEGs with "File > Export".

You can also use the online converter at https://heictojpg.com.


Or change the Settings for the Camera on your iPhone, so it will use JPEG as the standard format. See: Using HEIF or HEVC media on Apple devices - Apple Support
