I've attached an LG monitor/display to my MacBook Air and am wondering if I can now attach a small webcam to the top of the monitor -- will the MacBook Air accept it? I don't see anywhere in Settings for changing the camera. Thanks folks!

Does a cheaper webcam also work on a monitor attached to a MacBook Air? Like for example a 1080P HD or equivalent?
