How do I stop automatic updates on a homepod that is connected to my home app on my iPhone? I cannot delete my home on the home app that is showing updates for a homepod that I did not know existed and do not know the homepods location.

Is this your Home that you are in charge of, or someone else's Home you've been invited to share?
If it is your Home have you invited anyone else to share it?
What happens when you try to delete the device?
Why can you not remove the Home and then recreate is as needed? Do you have a lot of other HomeKit gear in addition to the mystery HomePod?

Home app > Home > Home Settings > Scroll down > Remove Home. You don't need to set up a Home until you have some kit to connect to it.

This is “my home” have not invited anyone, I have no homegear, I had barely set it up.
Have not invited nor invited anyone to share my home. No home gear (that I am aware of.
Have you been invited to share anyone else's Home? More to the point if you go into the Home app is there a Home set up?
