I have an Ipad 1 with safari, can i add Chrome as my browser?

Sorry, not possible. The Chrome browser requires iOS12.2 or later; your first generation iPad (a.k.a., iPad1) cannot be updated beyond iOS 5.1.1.


Your iPad1 is obsolete. The majority of, if not all, third-party 32-bit Apps have long ago been withdrawn from the Apple App Store. You are unlikely to find any Apps that are compatible with your iPad.


You would be well advised to consider replacement of your iPad with a modern device. Of current models, even the entry-level iPad8 is compatible with iPadOS14 and the vest majority of Apps - and will vastly outperform your existing device.
