i have tried the recommended keys to address the problem, found listed on the web.

to no avail, anyone encountered this problem?

Classic for issues w/ RAM.

retina the memory isn't upgradeable including late-2012 rentina MBP.

Since 2013 MBP all computers have RAM soldered to the logic board. Not much to do except take in for repair/replace the logic board/trade in for another.

If it is older than that, it would be helpful to state what you tried and what exact Mac is it...(?)
