Does this update need to be done to MAC desktops?

Does the 14.4 update for iPhones and iPads need to be done on MAC desktops?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Not as long as iPhone is on Wifi - On iPhone Setting >> General >> Software Update and start the process
