Using Photos 5.0 video editing greyed out

When we go to edit any video that is in the Photos app all the editing features are greyed out. Very strange.

Hi Josh, depending on your computer year, upgrading to Big Sur will upgrade Photos to version 6.0, which is when video editing is introduced. The controls are similar to the still photo editing features. No small feat, since editing video is exponentially more complex than editing photos.

If you're curious about upgrading, check out this list from Apple about models and years compatible with Big Sur: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211238
