If you have automatic updates turned on then most likely your iPhone 8 will have the new update.

HOWEVER if you want to be certain you can go into your

settings—>general—>software update

From there you should be able to check if your iPhone 8 is up-to-date. It will either say you were up-to-date or it will offer you the option to download the newest update which you should definitely do.
