MacBook Pro 2013 automatically turning with On and Off

new problem starting Friday; WiFi is turning on and off by itself every 5-10 seconds. Unable to connect to any network, even personal hotspot. Diagnostics not showing any problem. Is this hardware??


I’ve had my MacBook Pro since 2013, and always kept it up to date. I did a full factory reset in September 2020 which made it run faster. Updated to Bog Sur 3 weeks ago, has been running fine on Home internet and At work, yesterday It wouldn’t connect to my home wifi and is now flicking between WiFi on and WiFi off without any button pressing.

Is this about MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) ?


Have you tried safe mode?

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Note: Safe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed.
