When

To attach photos to an email (on MacBook Air), I click on paperclip. My photo album always appeared so I could select photos. Now, when I click the paperclip, nothing happens. How can I change settings to get the photos to pop up? Same when attaching pics to a Craig's List post - photos don't appear.

Hi

At the moment I think you have pictures selected in the LH sidebare - correct?

If so, scroll right down in the sidebar to the bottom. Your media section should be there. If it isn't, open photos, go to preferences, and check if the button "use as system photo library" is greyed out (see second screen shot). If it isn't, click it. Then try again.

Thanks, Tony. What you said makes sense, except that I don't have a media section or a camera on my left sidebar. I have to click on a rainbow-colored flower to get all my photos. Then I can select and drag the ones I want into my email.

What I don't understand is that in the past, as soon as I clicked on the paperclip (or on "Add Photos" to a Craig's List post), immediately my entire photo album would appear on the screen. All I had to do was to scroll and select the picture I wanted and then click "Select." Now that doesn't happen. I must have inadvertently changed a setting. I would like to go back to that default because it was more convenient than this system. Can you tell me how to change that setting? Thanks for your help.
