Macbook upgrade to for iMovie

Can I upgrade my MacBook Pro that came out in 2011 to 10.16.6 from a 10.13.6 so I can use iMovie.

According to MacTracker, OSX 10.13.6 is the highest OS you can install on any of the 2011 MacBook Pros.

So you will have to make do with the latest version of iMovie that can be used on OS 10.13.6
