my id shows two laptops with same serial number on my account. how do I merge them? I am afraid to delete a profile

Duplicate devices showing in iCloud When I go to Settings > My Name and scroll to the bottom, it shows multiple devices all with the same serial number. How do I know which one is the real one? Should I remove the others?

Is it possible for 1 macbook air to have two different serial number? The serial number on the cover is different from the one under "about this Mac". should I be worried? At one point on my iphone under Apple ID it showed two MacBook Air's logged onto my ID. I removed the one that didn't match the cover and that was before I noticed the different numbers.

Try signing out of iCloud, restart the computer, and then sign back in to see if that helps.
