Can a form field be put into a Pages document for export to PDF?
Hello all!
I'm not even sure if I'm asking my question correctly. In a nut shell, I create contracts in Pages for my clients. The contract has a few tables in it so the client can write in their name, email address, phone number, etc.
When exported to a PDF, the idea is for my client to print out the contract and hand write these fields in. But, is it possible to allow them to type that information into the PDF via a form field of some sort? So instead of printing out the contract and handwriting everything, they can simply click on where they're supposed to enter their name, email address or whatever, and type it in.
The only way I've found to do this is to export the PDF first, then open it in Acrobat to add form fields, before exporting it again to another PDF before sending it off to the client. But to do this over a hundred times per year would be very time consuming. I'm hoping I can add these form fields somehow while in Pages so I can use the same template for every contract and not have to add form fields each time in Acrobat.
Does that make sense to anyone out there? Lol.
And, if so, is this possible from within Pages?
Thank you in advance for any help!
