possible to upgrade a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013)

Some vendors' software updates won't work on this machine any more. Are there any hardware or software or firmware upgrades that can be done to make this machine compatible with Big Sur? (currently only LATE 2013 versions of this machine are compatible, contrary to others'' posts that Big Sur could be downloaded)

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

While that model of MacBook Pro cannot update to Big Sur, it can however update to macOS 10.15 Catalina, which should allow you to run most if not all current versions of apps at this point.
