annasang,

Thanks for following up with us.

Since the issue only seems to occur on the Mac side of things, we'd like to ask a few questions to help narrow this issue down further.

  1. Which macOS version is your Mac running? Find out which macOS your Mac is using
  2. Does this issue only happen with messages from certain contacts, or does it happen with all contacts?
  3. Do you ever experience issues sending messages on your Mac, or is the issue only with receiving messages?
  4. If you do experience issues sending messages on your Mac as well, do you receive a specific error when trying to send a message?

In the meantime, you can find more information about using Messages with your Mac here: Use Messages with your Mac

Thank you!

Hello annasang,

It sounds like you want messages to show on all of your devices, is that right? We'd like to help.

Just to confirm, are you using Messages in iCloud on your iPhone, as well as your Mac? "Messages in iCloud are updated automatically, so you always have the same view everywhere you use iMessage."

This page outlines how to use Messages in iCloud: Use Messages in iCloud

If you're not receiving any messages on your iPhone, please go through these steps as well: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks!

annasang,

Thanks so much for clarifying that the issue is happening with your iPhone.

Which iOS version is your iPhone running at this time? Here's how to check: Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

Since noticing this issue, has your iPhone been restarted? Restart your iPhone If so, does restarting seem to help correct the issue temporarily, or is there no change?

Take care!

Hey, sorry for the misunderstanding but the issue is actually occurring on my iphone rather than my mac. All messages sent to me will go to my mac, but only some of those messages show up on my phone.

Just in case the information is still relevant, my mac is running on Big Sur version 11.2, and experiences none of the above issues you've mentioned. The issue happens with all contacts on my phone too, not just one.
