Why does my 2016 macbook pro 15" screen go to black when I open it past the vertical? Every time?
I've learned that there is a 'programme' for this problem on the 13" MacBook Pro, but knowing that doesn't help me!
I'd be glad of any useful information on this if anyone can help.

This is not the same issue that that occurred in that other model. The display cable may have become damaged in use. You should have it evaluated by Apple.
It may requires a new display.
You can work-around the issue by connecting a TV set or other external display.
