How does one turn off permanently the Magnifier? It keeps coming on unexpectedly

Is there a fix for preventing the Magnifier from coming on unexpectedly? I find this annoying once I have turned it off? BTW I don't have iTunes installed on my desktop to use that method, thanks

SnickZ,

I won't know if your latest suggestions works, but I did find a setting within Accessibility, Zoom on, that may be a part of the problem/solution. That was due to you adding the link 'Use accessibility shortcuts on iPhone' (hhttps://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/accessibility-shortcuts-iph3e2e31a5/ios)

So thank you very much and I want to promise to remember to click on 'Correct Answer' in a couple of days, but I'll try to remember

Thanks for reaching back out OutsideShooter,

We understand you’ve already disabled the feature but it’s still popping up unexpectedly. We’ll be happy to continue.

Let’s double check that zoom is not enabled: Zoom in on the iPhone screen. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Tap View (below Display Zoom), and make sure Zoom is not showing enabled.

Make sure there’s not an Accessibility shortcut enabled for the display: Use accessibility shortcuts on iPhone. This page explains more about how the Accessibility shortcuts might enable unexpectedly, if you interact with the iPhone in certain ways: About the Accessibility Shortcut for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. If you need further assistance, you can reach out here: Contact Apple Support. We hope this helps.

Take care.

Hi there OutsideShooter,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand your Magnifier is appearing unexpectedly. We always want you to enjoy a clear view of your display. We’ll be happy to help.

From what you’ve described, it sounds like that feature has been enabled at some point, in your accessibility shortcuts. If you go to: Settings > Accessibility > Magnifier. Make sure it’s set to “Off” or toggle it off. Make sure you’re not using any third party apps that could cause the issue. We hope this helps.

Best regards.

SnickZ,

I don't think I phrased my query correctly. First I'll C&P my question and then urther explain my problem

"Is there a fix for preventing the Magnifier from coming on unexpectedly? I find this annoying once I have turned it off?"

Now let me try again with more detail:

Is there a way for preventing the 'Magnifier' app, from coming on unexpectedly, no matter which app I am on while using my iPhone XsMax? It could be looking over the home desktop, or while using my phone, or while texting, and so on. I find it annoying to pop up, once I have turned the Magnifier app off, i.e., once I have manually gone to Settings>Accessibility>Magnifier>Off. It will turn on again on its own, even though I have not needed it while using any other app.

My apology for not having been more clear and I hope this expanded explanation is easier to comprehend. Thanks so much
