one of my AirPods is not working

Please try resetting the AirPods: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209463
If possible try to test out the sound on any other Bluetooth device other than your iPhone at hand.
If the problem still persists you can mostly assume that the problem is hardware fixated.
