I had an old Apple ID that I logged out of for a while now, I got a new phone and gave my old phone to a family member. But my new phone keeps asking to log into my old account with a message saying enter Apple ID password, when I do this it says wrong password and so on. How can I stop this message from popping up?

Check the App Store and iTunes Store to see if there are any updates for apps/purchases. A request for another Apple ID password is often caused by updates to apps/purchases that were made when using the other ID. Those purchases are tied to the other ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.

Okay, I looked in settings and the old Apple ID doesn’t show anymore. So I’m probably guessing it’s just the fact that my grandad is using my old phone. But I wiped my old ID form it as well. So I have no clue. But it won’t affect my apps will it? If my apps are under my new ID
Oh okay thanks, but I can’t access my old phone, I don’t have a way to, would making a new Apple ID on this device work? On my new phone? Because I changed numbers as well
You don't need to access the old phone to check what I posted above. I was suggesting doing the above on the new phone.
Oh okay, well I’ve made sure that none of my apps belong to my old ID. So I’m not sure why it’s still showing. It won’t affect my new phone in any way will it? I’m not 100% sure how apple works
It shouldn't affect the new phone. Also check the Settings app to see if the old ID is being used somewhere.
And also I can’t even log into it because I got a new phone number. So I just hope that my new phone won’t shut down or anything..?
