iPhone 11 as a secondary camera for zoom- not changing orientation

I’m having an issue with my iPhone 11 not adjusting the orientation during a zoom presentation where the phone is being used as a secondary camera ( aka shared screen).

If I go to any other app on the phone, the orientation adjusts, and reflects the adjustment on my zoom presentation, but I switch back to camera mode and I automatically get portrait.

to be clear, the phone shows the change in orientation, but it doesn’t reflect on the zoom platform as such.

This only occurs in camera mode.
