Secure Home Video Facial Recognition - Is there any way to use the name to trigger specific actions?

Is there a way to capture the name generated by the facial recognition? What I would like to do is use the name to generated actions specific to the name/People?

I’m going to assume you’re referencing the HomeKit Facial Recognition support, and not to Apple TV. Maybe using Apple TV as the hub, though.

Details: Set up and use Face Recognition - Apple Support

How to set up notifications: Get notifications for your HomeKit accessories - Apple Support

Scenes: Create scenes and automations with the Home app - Apple Support

A tool such as Pushcut may be of interest, though I’ve not used that.

And Apple has a few technical videos on HomeKit: https://developer.apple.com/videos/frameworks/homekit

As for alternatives, there’s open-source code that can sometimes sort-of do recognition, though the accuracy there can leave something to be desired.

For other readers that might arrive here for different facial-related info or questions, or be confused about HomeKit recognition and Face ID recognition, Face ID uses camera and depth and the neural engine to determine identity, and does not export that information. And doesn’t tie it to HomeKit.

Thank you, I will look at the videos and see if they help. I have the facial recognition set up, I have Homekit triggering virtual switches in Homebridge to initiate automations ion Node-Red. The bass for my question is, I would like to use the name to either generate a audio response out of Alexa, Like saying hello to a specific name, or in the morning knowing its me getting up and setting my preferences, or for a presence sensor.
