Damaged AirPods case

Hi. I had AirPods gifted to me last year and it has been provided with apple care and in my current located it has been raining here and there as of recently, and my AirPods were left on the veranda upstairs where strong winds and rain had come through while I was at work and has entirely damaged my case. It won’t charge my AirPods - my AirPods however weren’t in their case at the time so they’re fine.

Most likely the AirPods charging case was damaged due to the rain. Apple's hardware warranty does not cover liquid damage; however, since you have AppleCare+, you may find that you can get a replacement charging case at a reduced cost.
