Can’t get watch strap off !!

No matter how I try one side of strap will not budge. Any ideas?

Does it feel like the lock release button moves at all? (compare with the side which will move). This will be a clue for whether the lock is still engaged, or the band is simply tight in the groove.


Several users have reported success after rinsing with gently warm water while repeatedly pushing the lock release and/or trying to move the band (not hot water because that could overheat the watch and will cause internal pressure changes). It is not clear whether this works as a water lubricant or by flushing away that dried soda splash which is blocking movement, but it seems to work for many.
