I downloaded some apps I don't want and they are still listed in my account in the App store. I want to permanently delete these can anyone tell me a solution that actually works?

Thank you for answering so quickly. You have verified what I have found out. I searched and searched for a way to permanently delete an unwanted app in my App Store account but Apple doesn't make this possible. Sometimes you get an App that doesn't do at all what you wanted but it just has to stay there. Hiding it doesn't suit me. Apple needs a resolution to this problem. Apple also needs to do a bit of oversight with apps they allow in their store. Doesn't look good for Apple to have this garbage for downloading by unsuspecting customers. I figured I would get the real Zoom app there but I never found it, if it is there. Just a couple posers were available.

There is no option to delete purchase history. But you can hide it -- see: Hide purchases from the App Store - Apple Support
You may want to give feedback to Apple. They don't have an App Store category but you can use the iTune Store category: https://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
