“Video not available” persists

I get a “video not available” when I try to view anything on Apple TV+

The error message further says “ there is a problem loading this video, if this continues, check your internet connection.”

the problem is persistent, even with a solid internet connection (I can watch Netflix and Amazon just fine).

any suggestions on what to do?
