Update late 2006 mac

I have a late 2006 MacBook and I believe it can go further then the least update i know there is way to do it. Anyone know how to?

Cannot physically upgrade to there.

Limited by vintage/obsolete status.


Maximum OS: is Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5


Later model Macs can go further.

Need to get much newer hardware.

That model most happily ran well in its day, with Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

Last 'Mac OS X Lion 10.7' was available by app store purchase; was final.


Shipped with Tiger10.4.8 on grey label DVD media kit.

Later ran on Leopard 10.5.8; with retail DVD installer.

Updates were online for each of those version discs.

My Early 2006 MacBook 13-inch 1.83GHz coreduo has 10.5.8

and 'TenFourFox_G3' with special instruction for intel-mac.
