2014 Macbook Air to run 2 external monitors

I have a 2014 Macbook Air, which I am using the one thunderbolt to HDMi lead port to connect to an external monitor. I have been told that I can connect a second external monitor using a USB to HDMI lead. Is this correct that I can do this to run two monitors.

That is not correct. Your 2014 MacBook Air can run two monitors however one of them would be its own screen.
