I have a free subscription to Apple TV until July of 2021, but when I try to watch something it wants me to buy or rent to view my selection!

Why doesn't my free subscription work when I try to watch Apple TV? It is still good until July 2021

The Apple TV+ subscription is for access to Apple Original content.

Movies and TV shows from the iTunes Store are not part of that, and will have to be payed for separately. Movies and TV show from the iTunes Store have a price per title, for buy or rent, unlike subscription content.
