Retrieving Text Messages

How can I retrieve old text messages that were deleted by my iphone?? Around 4 months ago.

If you were using iCloud Messages, it cannot be done. However, if you have created a backup of the iPhone since you deleted the text, there is no way to recover it from a backup either. Normally a text that has just been deleted, if you have a backup of the iPhone with the text still on it, you can restore to that backup. However, a text that was deleted 4 months ago would not be available, assuming that you have created a backup of the iPhone since that time.
