email suddenly doesn't show up on iphone8

If like most email accounts yours are IMAP then the Mail app simply mirrors your real email accounts which live on the web (aka the cloud)

Gmail isn’t IMAP but it behaves like it is.

I regularly delete and re-add accounts with mo loss.

The only exception is old POP accounts where mail is only on the phone.

I'm hesitant to delete and re-enter the account because above, it says something about losing (phone) access to my previous emails. Did that happen to you?

I fail to see how KokoSatch's question was remotely a solution to your query but you marked it as such. This cannot now be reversed.

Thank you LD150! I deleted and re-added both accounts and I'm now receiving all new email and can still pull up and reference old ones I need on the phone when I'm out away from my computer.
