I need to reactivate my Ipad. I have a different email. I don't know my original ID data.

I need to reactivate my Ipad. I have a different email. I don't know my original ID data.

An Apple representative tried to help me but I think he didn't fully understand my problem.

He asked me to enter an old email address with the hopes that it might be the one. I explained that I didn't have that one now but he said try it so I did and he hung up. I entered the old email address.

the result was, I was sent information, a number and told to insert it in the address that IDON'T HAVE ACCESS TO NOW. It was a waste of an afternoon and I still cannot access my Ipad.

Before speaking to that man I tried using the Apple online system to help me. Several times they gave me a number and told me to access it on my Ipad. ???????????????????????????????????????????????? I cant get into my Ipad. Perhaps the Webmaster can take this into account for an update of the system.

Regards,

N Maxwell.

You’ll need to figure out the Apple ID email that was used following https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201354

Once you figure out the email used you then need to reset the password following the options at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201487

After exhausting all these options if you still cannot figure it out you’ll need proof of owning the iPad, like the receipt from buying it new yourself, and request Apple remove it from the iPad so you can start over from “Start an Activation Lock support request.”  from https://al-support.apple.com/#/kbase

Hello shoeluvr13,

I thank you for your reply to my query,

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use the info you provided.

For part of the process I encountered, I had to click a link to Find My Phone.

Well, it seems I hadn't used the function at the time as there was no link on the page I reached.

It's been ten years since I bought the contraption and I probably didn't give it any consideration.

thanks for your help anyway. I'll keep trying.

I've tried several times to send a jpg file to you, containing an image of what my Ipad screen looks like.

Unfortunately, each time I try, I get a message telling me there was an error, try again later.

Is there another email address I can try that is or isn't part of the Apple system?

Aside: I'm positive the address I used to activate the Ipad in 2011 was ***@sky.com but I don't have that one now.

I don't remember the password I used.

Ned.
