AirPods discharging in empty charging case, by the end both case and AirPods becomes 0% charge . This is in AirPods pro model

Try resetting the device... press and hold the back button until light flash in the front. Then connect to charger.

also when AirPods are being placed in charging case, make sure they snap in. Or a click sound. To confirm AirPods in contact with charging case.
