I would like to go back to my old email account

I just got a new phone today and everytime I try to sign into my email account it keeps saying it has already been signed in but I’m not getting any emails

iPhone XR, iOS 14

Have you tried deleting the account, restarting the device, and then adding the account back?

Mail – Setup on a device
