Mother's disabled IPad 2

I have my mother's IPad and it is currently disabled. She passed away in September 2021 and I would like to reset her disabled IPad 2. Can you hlep me

It may be more trouble than it is worth, at least in terms of using it to take possession of a fairly old iPad 2. You will need her Apple ID and her log-in password. If you have that then post back and we can provide more instructions. Without it you will probably not be able to remove the disabled feature (which, by the way, erases the device). If your interest is recovering things like photos then you can apply to Apple to let you have access to her accounts.
